A Thousand Pictures è la prima canzone nata di Hope. La sua prima pubblicazione infatti risale alla fine dell’anno 2016.

A Thousand Pictures è stata anche la prima canzone realizzata senza il supporto dell’intera band, dopo che Simone e Luca si sono allontanati dal progetto. L’arrangiamento che abbiamo realizzato è il frutto di un approccio più elettronico ed è nato giocando con alcuni campionamenti, per lo più vocali, mischiati ad altri suoni sintetici, rielaborati nella forma con l’utilizzo di inviluppi dall’attacco piuttosto lungo. La tensione umanizzante è stata creata con la sovrapposizione di frasi di chitarra che, insieme alle linee vocali, si addentrano in territori prossimi al blues e al soul.

Nonostante l’album sia stato completato insieme a dei nuovi compagni di viaggio abbiamo deciso di mantenere inalterata questa fotografia nella quale compaiono solo i nostri due volti.
